"An Apple a Day" Horse & Rider Canvas Print — Equestrian Wall Art, Matte Stretched Canvas
"An Apple a Day" is an oil painting that was done during a time when horses were a daily part of my life. This was a beautiful quarter horse mare though short in stature was very stout.
A quietly intimate scene captured on matte stretched canvas — a young rider and her horse paused in a sun-diffused paddock. The loose brushwork and warm palette bring a painterly, lived-in quality that reads beautifully from across a room. This canvas arrives stretched over a slim 1.25" pine profile with back-hanging hardware and soft rubber dots to keep it steady on the wall. It’s a calm, familiar piece that layers easily into a farmhouse kitchen, a barn office, or a cozy living room — anywhere that celebrates slow afternoons, trust between human and animal, and the gentle rhythm of rural life.
